za Position: SAP MM Functional Consultant Industry Focus: Fashion / Apparel / Retail Experience Level: 8+ Years Location: 100% Remote Duration: 3 Months (Extendable) Employment Type: Contract / Freelance Key Responsibilities Solution Design & Configuration: Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP MM modules, tailoring solutions specifically for fashion-specific inventory and procurement lifecycle requirements. Fashion Master Data Management: Configure and manage complex master data structures unique to the fashion industry, including articles, generic articles, variants (size/color/style), and seasons. Procurement & Inventory: Optimize end-to-end procurement processes, including purchase orders, multi-tier subcontracting, stock transport orders (STOs), inventory management, and physical inventory specific to retail/fashion distribution networks. Integration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with SAP SD (Sales and Distribution), FI/CO (Finance/Controlling), and SAP Fashion Management / IS-Retail solutions (FMS, AFS, or S/4HANA Retail). Testing & Support: Lead unit testing, integration testing (UAT), and data migration activities. Provide hypercare and post-go-live functional support. Qualifications & SkillsRequired Experience: 8+ years of core functional experience in SAP MM. Mandatory industry experience in Fashion, Apparel, or Retail (knowledge of SAP AFS, SAP FMS, or S/4HANA Fashion/Retail is highly preferred). Hands-on experience handling multi-variant merchandise, seasonal purchasing, and complex distribution channels. Technical & Functional Skills: Expert-level configuration knowledge of Purchasing, Inventory Management, Valuation & Account Assignment, and Logistics Invoice Verification. Strong understanding of fashion-specific supply chain nuances, such as pre-packs, assortments, and cross-docking. Proficiency in writing clear Functional Specifications (FS) and working with ABAP developers on custom enhancements (WRICEF items). Soft Skills: Excellent remote collaboration and communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
