Head Supply Chain Management

About the Role: As the Head of Supply Chain Management, you will lead the end-to-end supply chain strategy for our manufacturing operations in India. You will be responsible for transforming our supply chain into a competitive advantage by driving operational excellence, cost optimization, and digital transformation. You will report directly to the leadership team and oversee a multidisciplinary team covering procurement, logistics, planning, and warehousing. Key Responsibilities: - Strategic Sourcing & Procurement: Manage an annual spend of [Insert Amount], implementing strategic sourcing initiatives to drive a minimum 5-8% year-on-year cost reduction in direct material procurement. - Inventory & Planning: Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes to maintain inventory turns above [X] while ensuring 98%+ OTIF (On-Time In-Full) delivery for domestic and export markets. - Logistics & Warehousing: Oversee the end-to-end movement of goods, optimizing 3PL/4PL partnerships to reduce outbound freight costs by 10% and improving warehouse space utilization. - Compliance & Governance: Ensure 100% adherence to GST regulations, Export/Import compliance (DGFT), and EHS standards across all facilities. - Digital Transformation: Spearhead the integration of Industry 4.0 initiatives, driving the migration/optimization of SAP S/4HANA (MM/WM) modules to automate manual planning processes. - Leadership: Mentor a team of [X] professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, safety, and continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma). Requirements: - 12-18 years of experience in SCM within the Automotive, FMCG, or heavy manufacturing sector. - Demonstrated expertise in SAP MM/WM, IBP, or similar ERP environments. - Proven track record of managing end-to-end supply chain functions in a complex, multi-site manufacturing environment. - Strong commercial acumen with experience in contract negotiation, vendor development, and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) analysis. - Ability to drive cross-functional alignment between Sales, Finance, and Production teams. - Advanced degree in Supply Chain/Operations or MBA from a premier institute preferred. Nice-to-have: - Professional certifications like CSCP, CPIM (APICS), or Six Sigma Black Belt. - Exposure to AI-driven demand forecasting tools or supply chain control tower implementations. - Experience in managing greenfield warehouse setups or major logistics network transformations.
