Head Supply Chain Management

About the Role: We are seeking a seasoned Head of Supply Chain Management to orchestrate our end-to-end supply chain ecosystem. Reporting to the leadership team, you will be responsible for transforming our supply chain into a competitive advantage by driving operational excellence, cost optimization, and digital transformation. You will lead a high-performing team to ensure seamless material flow from sourcing to final delivery, directly impacting our bottom line and customer satisfaction levels. Key Responsibilities: - Strategic Sourcing & Procurement: Define and execute procurement strategies to achieve a 5-10% annual reduction in COGS through strategic sourcing, vendor development, and rigorous contract lifecycle management. - Supply Planning & Logistics: Own the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to ensure 98%+ on-time material availability while optimizing logistics spend across inbound and outbound channels. - Inventory & Working Capital: Manage inventory turns and reduce carrying costs by implementing advanced forecasting models and Just-in-Time (JIT) methodologies. - Digitalization & Compliance: Champion the integration of SAP S/4HANA (MM/WM) modules and spearhead automation projects to increase process visibility. Ensure 100% compliance with GST, Export/Import regulations, and EHS standards. - Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Production to align supply capabilities with market demand, minimizing stock-outs and excess inventory. - Talent Development: Mentor a diverse team of SCM professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and accountability. Required Qualifications: - 12–18 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management within the Indian manufacturing or automotive sector. - Deep expertise in SAP MM/WM/EWM and advanced proficiency in MS Excel/BI tools for data-driven decision-making. - Proven track record in managing a spend portfolio of at least ₹100Cr+ and optimizing multi-site warehouse operations. - Strong understanding of Indian taxation (GST) and international logistics/EXIM compliance. - Proven ability to lead cross-functional transformation projects involving ERP implementation or process re-engineering. Nice-to-Have: - APICS/CPIM/CSCP certification. - Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification. - Experience in driving 'Make in India' sourcing initiatives.
